Can my dog eat bananas?

Banana? Sure! A whole banana might be a bit excessive, but a couple slices of banana would be a fine snack for your dog every once in a while. If the banana is more mushy and cannot be accurately sliced, then 1-2 tablespoons of banana make a great kong-stuffer. It is good to note, however, that some dogs don't like banana - the taste, the texture, who knows!? Feeding too much banana can cause some loose stools, so do keep an eye on the after-effects to see how this treat affects your pet's bowels. If the result is as mushy coming out as it was going in, then it might be best to keep banana snacks to a minimum.
