With less than 2% of the veterinary population being Black, people can be sure that BIPOC students aren’t aware of BIPOC veterinarians. Walking into the first day of vet school orientation and seeing one Black man and one other Black woman out of a class of over 120 left Dr. Cherice Roth with some stark realizations about the state of diversity in veterinary medicine.
